It can be like partner tai chi (but generally without any hint of combat)\, like partner gymnastics (but improvised)\, like partner yoga (but generally moving)\, like acro yoga (but with the base also moving\, and roles frequently organically switching / dissolving)\, like intimate tango (Argentine\, not ballroom)\, etc.  Duos\, trios\, and more. A somatic practice; a movement meditation. DESCRIPTION:Free-form dance. Let movements arise. Breathe\, shake\, feel what you feel\, express what bubbles up. A chance to explore yourself thru dance in a supportive community.  We begin with a guided warmup growing connections within ourselves and between each other. Then surf a DJ’d wave\, slowly building to a peak or two before gradually coming to an elevated relaxation.  Some nights may include layers of live music. \n* Want to attend?  Let us know: contact. Want to host if we’re not available?  Let us know.\nWe hope to run Ecstatic Dance 1st Friday every month but other opportunities are competing for our time\, so let us know of your interest and we’ll try to make something work for everyone interested. \nOriginal venue has closed.
