The wide world of Swing & Blues – Mondays, 7-8 pm, April 15 to June 24, 2024
$12 per class, or $100 flat (no tax, no ticket charges) for 11 classes plus parties (see below)
In the 1930s and ’40s, many dance clubs played swing til midnight, then blues. Blues & Jazz have a related history. Discover the joy of swing – and yes, the joy of blues!

April 15 – Lindy Hop
April 22 – Balboa
April 29 – Charleston
May 6 – Travelling Swing (circling the room)
May 13 – Shag (Carolina + Collegiate)
May 20 – West Coast Swing
May 27 – Integration (review and integration of the styles)
Jun 3 – Blues: intimate blues & rocking blues
June 10 – Blues meets Tango. Both meet Contact Improv
June 17 – Boogie Woogie, Rockabilly, & Rock’n’Roll
June 24 – Lindy Hop to Bebop to Hip Hop (7-7:30). Swing Rueda (dancing as a group in a circle, changing partners) (7:30-8)

Parties:
April 27, 7-9 pm, Mono Community Centre. Don’t have a car? We should be able to arrange a ride.
Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival. Swing clubs from Kitchener and Guelph and Toronto are joining us this year.
Party at teacher’s house – date to be chosen by students.

Full series buyers come free to the April 27 party and the teachers’ house party.
